Scouting around London

London is a city that has a very rich history. A soundwalk around London provided me with an insight of the places that might be suitable to compose a soundwalk. I scouted a few places around the city, and narrowed down to five places.

  1. Covent Garden
  2. King’s Cross
  3. St. Paul’s Cathedral
  4. Buckingham Palace
  5. London Borough Market

The criteria was to compose the soundwalk in an old part of London but also a place that is visited frequently and is accessible to a large chunk of people.

I did an audio, video and a historical tour in and around these places. I narrowed down the London Borough Market as the location to compose the soundwalk. Honestly, the other four places were just as suitable for the soundwalk as the Borough Market is – it is equally rich in history and in terms of accessibility. But this is just the start, the purpose of the soundwalk is to keep expanding bit by bit in the city. And when I do that, these places would be next in order.
